This year it has been a great blessing to meet up with many dear friends from our time spent in Thailand and Cambodia. We also had a wonderful sunny, summer holiday in Wales and had a great time with Lois, Jane and Andrew Ashe and their families who were camping nearby.
Maurice has survived another 'take over'. His company Brio Software was bought out by Hyperion Solutions in October. Although the main technical support office of Hyperion is located up in Manchester (200 miles away), Maurice and his 'technical support' team have moved into a different sparkling glass building at Egham (near historic Runnymead). This gives Maurice the added benefit of a shorter commuting distance and time. Khmer Unicode activities have picked up remarkably: http://www.bauhahnm.clara.net/Khmer/Welcome.html
Sue has been out of the country twice this year leaving Maurice to tend to all the domestic chores! In May she joined our Home Fellowship group who spent a few days enjoying French food and wine in a beautiful old farm house in Vouharte, Western France. Then during the October half term Sue and Grace traveled on Eurostar to Cologne and had fun practicing their German in the shops, restaurants, museums and stations.
Grace thoroughly enjoyed her singing tour to France and Germany this summer with the East Berkshire Chamber Choir. They worked hard, had great fun and experienced appreciative audiences. This academic year is proving to be rather stressful as she takes modules, revises for mocks and completes course work prior to GCSE's in June. Then comes 6th Form.
Daniel proudly tells everyone that his greatest achievement this past year is overtaking Grace in height! No longer the little brother! He had great fun this summer at Kart Camp where he helped to build and race a go-cart. At half term Daniel flew off alone to New York where Maurice's brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Ruth, showed him around and drove him down near Washington, D.C., to meet relations.
At St Mary's, the Church we attend, we have welcomed a new vicar, Will Stileman, and are appreciating his ministry.
We wish you all a blessed Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
With our love,
